Description
In addition to being beautiful spring flowers, tulips in the Christian tradition are associated with Easter. Tinted in a variety of colors, their shape is very similar to that of the egg, and they also symbolize: Love, Faith, Forgiveness and Rebirth. The image depicts a beautiful and beatified woman in pink ancient garb, and a child holding a tulip. It was painted in a non-traditional style, resembling Eastern Orthodox Iconography. The original was painted with acrylic on canvas, in vivid color nuances of pink, yellow, white, purple.
